We begin with air and surface testing in any area of your home. Our proprietary equipment is used to clean and treat affected areas with an anti-microbial solution and utilize HEPA filtration to vacuum airborne spores and fragments. Steamatic by Carrara coordinates with a certified Industrial Hygienist to continually enhance the equipment and services we provide in order to help protect your home against mold and mildew growth.
Inspection and Assessment
During Steamatic by Carrara's Mold Inspection Service, our team will consult with you, your insurance company and indoor environmental professionals to assess conditions including humidity levels to determine:
- The type of mold problem
- The cause of the problem
- Scope of Work for mold removal
- A cost estimate for the Scope of the work to be completed
Health & Safety Precautions
To prevent the spread of mold spores and fragments, containment barriers are installed to protect mold from entering unaffected areas of your home. The affected areas are placed under negative pressurization with HEPA filtration to remove spores that become airborne during the mold removal process.
Affected Contents
Contents from affected areas will be removed, sealed and delivered to the Steamatic by Carrara restoration facility for cleaning. All articles will be inventoried and recorded, and once the mold remediation services are completed they will be returned to your home.
Environment Stabilization
A mold removal specialist will first stabilize the environment to control moisture levels, if necessary. Areas with heavy mold growth will be cleaned, sanded and vacuumed using HEPA filtration.
Air Systems Tested and Cleaned
If a non-porous surface within your air system shows microbial growth, our technicians will use proprietary equipment to clean and treat the system with an anti-microbial solution.
Clearance Testing
Once the affected areas have passed environmental testing ensuring the mold issues are taken care of, your home is ready to be turned over to you or a general contractor if reconstruction is necessary.
